Media Research

Our media research examines the entire communication process — the characteristics of media messages and their impact and effectiveness.

Our content analysis method is used to characterize media messages. It treats media content — viewed as the input of the communication process — in terms of both qualitative and quantitative characteristics.

Most often, we carry out:

  • quantitative analysis of how institutions and individuals are portrayed in the media,
  • mapping of the argument structures behind communication campaigns,
  • comparative analysis of program content.

The impact of media messages is assessed through audience research and evaluations of PR and advertising campaign effectiveness. These studies are designed to reveal the characteristics and opinions of the target audience.
